The Philippine Nurses Association of New Jersey (PNANJ) Inc., Bergen County Sub-Chapter
is proud to present, Legal Issues in Nursing with a Focus on Documentation.
This continuing education program will be presented by Leo-Felix M. Jurado, PhDc, RN, CNA,
APN, C., Professor & Assistant Chairperson, Department of Nursing & Allied Health, County
College of Morris.
2.0 contact hours will be provided. PNANJ is an approved provider of continuing
education in nursing by the New Jersey State Nurses Association which is accredited
as an approver of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing
Center's Commission on Accreditation. P#182-4/2006
The PNANJ Bergen County Sub-Chapter will have a general membership meeting prior to the
presentation. The day's activity is as follows:

- June 26, 2005 - BCSC attended and marched in the PAFCOM parade in Jersey City, NJ
- July 23, 2005 - BCSC 1st Annual BBQ Picnic held at Shepherd Lake Park in Ringwood, NJ
- August 6, 2005 - BCSC President attended PNANJ State Executive Board meeting at JFK Medical Center
- August 21-22, 2005 - PNANJ BCSC community service/outreach at the Philippine Fiesta in Secaucus, NJ, event attended annually by 20,000+ Filipinos from Tri state area and other states.
- August 27, 2005 - BCSC General Membership Meeting held at BRMC. Formation of www.pnanjbergen.org website.
- September 23, 2005 - BCSC President attended PNANJ State Executive Board Meeting in Edison, NJ
- September 24, 2005 - BCSC provided community service/outreach, recruitment, fundraising and health screening at the Bergenfield Street Fair.
- October 21-22, 2005 - PNAA Eastern Regional Conference, hosted by PNANJ "Winning Cards in Creating Partnership for Preferred Future" to be held at the Atlantic City Convention Center. BCSC and Middelsex County hosted the Welcome Night event.
- December 2, 2005 - BCSC held it's 1st Annual Christmas Dinner Dance at Step-By-Step in Bergenfield, NJ. $150 was raised for the Aguirre Twins.
Hello everyone. Now that the holidays have past,
the PNANJ Bergen County Sub-Chapter will be looking to improve on our successes of 2005.
We have accomplished so much last year and we could never have done it without all of
your contributions. I have put together my President's Report for 2005 and I must say
that I am so proud to be apart of our Professional organization. We have remained
visible in the community providing valuable community service to the Northern NJ area as
well as contributing to the Aguirre twins and our Overseas Filipino Workers in Iraq.
Together, we have made a positive impact in our community.
Our next general meeting will include an educational opportunity for our members and will take place in March. If you have not received a Membership Renewal Application you can obtain the application on our website. (Meeting date TBA)
If you plan to attend the PNA International Convention in Hawaii on the 25th please inform me so I know how many delegates from Bergen will be in attendance.
In the meantime, your Executive Board will be meeting in February to discuss how we can continue to improve and provide our members with value added activities.

Overview
A joint collaborative project of the Philippine Nurses Association, Inc. and
the Philippine Nurses Association of America, Inc. The PNA community is proud
to present the 5th International Nursing Conference in Waikiki Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.
The conference will be held on January 25th to the 27th of 2006 at the
Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in Honolulu, Hawaii.
